Our History

The Cunningham family farm has been in the family for many years.  Located in Bethel, NY, it has gone through many changes over the years, from producing meat and vegetables for the family to growing sweet corn that was sold at a roadside stand.

Timothy Cunningham changed the farm to growing sweet corn to sell directly to consumers.  There was a roadside stand out on Route 17-b where customers could stop to pick up dinner.  This in the days when you could leave a can on the table and trust people to leave their money if the grandkids had gotten tired of sitting out by the table and wanted a break.  A sign on the front of the table proclaimed the prices of individual ears up to a baker’s dozen to passing vehicles.

Today the farm is owned jointly by Timothy Cunningham’s three children, Chris, Colleen, and Patrick, who have transformed this small family farm into an agritourism destination for people and families of all ages.  Complete with a corn maze, hayride, pumpkin patch, gem mining at The Lost Irishman’s Mine, play area, obstacle course, farmer’s golf, and a harvest market selling pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, ornamental corn, and more, Cunningham Family Farms aims to be a great place to spend an afternoon with friends and family.
